Yoga in the sun, anyone?

vashtigreenwood

Hello yogis!

I hope you're all well and enjoying this lovely weather we are now seeing (finally!).

As the evenings are now getting longer, and (hopefully) warmer, I will be adding some yoga classes in Dyke Road Park to the Seaside Yoga roster. These will take place on a Friday afternoon from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, weather permitting, from Friday 24 May. Depending on numbers, they will either be in the little garden (formerly the rose garden) in front of the cafe, or in the main park somewhere. I will let you know the exact location the day before (the email will come from vashti@seasideyoga.co.uk - make sure you check your junk!)

What to expect

The classes will be mixed-ability, Hatha classes with standing, seated and supine/prone postures and a nice meditation/relaxation at the end. As the ground is uneven, we will avoid too many of the trickier balances (although it wouldn't be right to exclude Vrksasana - tree pose!). The cafe in the park should still be open when we finish, so there is also the option, for anyone who fancies it, to seal the practice with a post-yoga beverage!

How to book

As a thank you to those of you who have been attending my regular classroom sessions, these sessions will be free to anyone already booking a classroom session in the same week. If you wish to attend the park session instead of a classroom session, normal rates will apply - and note that I may have to cancel at short notice if the weather changes!.

I will need a minimum of three people to run these sessions, so please email me once you've booked your regular class to register interest in the additional park class that week - I will then book you in from my side, and will let you know if the class isn't running.

What to wear/bring

I'm afraid I won't be able to bring any extra mats or props to the park so please make sure you bring your own mat, water, props (if you use them) and - definitely! - a warm layer for the relaxation at the end. I would recommend bringing an old mat (if you have one) as the ground may be wet.

New 5-week pricing plan now available

To help make a longer-term yoga investment a bit more affordable, I have set up a 5-week pricing plan - you can now purchase a block of five sessions for £30.00 (with no expiry date).

Beginners' classes at Exeter Street Hall: drop-in available

I still have some availability in my beginners' group at Exeter Street Hall on a Friday lunchtime (1.30pm to 2.45pm)*. Although we are a few weeks in now, there is plenty of space in the hall, so if you - or someone you know - would like to come along, please let me know and I can brief you on postures already covered in the previous week, and what to expect from the remaining weeks. Alternatively, you can book directly via the website and I will follow up with you from there.

*For further details about the beginners' classes - and all my other classes - check out the About section.

A massive thank you once again for all your support, everyone. Hope to see you in class, and in the park!

Namaste!
